It’s a simple concept but one that can seem overbearing, impossible, full of pressure and anxiety (at least for those of us, like myself, that set RIDICULOUSLY high standards on ourselves to be perfect, and then fall into a hole when we fall short of that impossible standard).
I don’t know about you, but I’m done trying to be perfect. I’m done trying to be anything but exactly who I am — yes, I aim to be the best version of myself, the me that gives of my love freely and allows my strong emotional core to connect with those who need my help, who receive value from hearing my voice, who are encouraged by my words to improve upon their own lives.
When I opened up my daily devotional today for a message, I was presented with this: “Be free today to fully express your gifts in a flurry of love and delight, and praise me for your creativity which I want you to wear like a kingly robe.”
The way which I’m most amazing is in using what was carved onto my heart the day I was born for the good of others. And I am so incredibly grateful and fortunate for the opportunity to share that.
So go on, be amazing. Take the pressure off and just be you. And take a moment to thank God, the universe, whatever you believe in, for making it so ??
